Fun Historical Fact

Bassett Furniture traces its history to Virginia, where the company grew alongside the region's expanding furniture industry. By the mid-20th century, Bassett was producing streamlined furniture suited to the changing tastes of American households. Walnut became especially popular during the Mid Century Modern era for its rich color and expressive natural grain. Tall dressers offered generous storage while occupying less floor space, making them particularly practical for increasingly modern residential interiors.
