Presented in Original Vintage Condition, the sconces retain their authentic aged surfaces and period character and have been carefully inspected by our studio for stable construction, secure decorative elements, and overall functionality.

Fun Historical Fact

Florentine decorative arts have a centuries-long tradition of combining elaborate ornament with skilled metalworking, painting, gilding, and mirrored surfaces. During the early 20th century, artisans continued to reinterpret historic Italian motifs such as scrolling foliage, flowers, and richly ornamented architectural forms for decorative furnishings and lighting. Mirrors were particularly effective in wall-mounted lighting because they reflected candlelight or electric illumination while visually expanding the decorative composition. The combination of botanical metalwork and etched mirror glass seen in these sconces reflects the enduring influence of traditional Italian craftsmanship on early 20th-century decorative interiors.
