Fun Historical Fact
California became an important center for modern furniture design during the 1950's and 1960's. Manufacturers such as Morris of California embraced streamlined silhouettes, natural wood finishes, and practical storage solutions. Tapered legs became a defining feature of American Mid Century Modern furniture, creating a lighter, more open appearance. Today, vintage California-made furniture remains appreciated for its relaxed elegance and functional design.
