Description: This American Revival hexagonal table by Riner Furniture showcases the rich craftsmanship and ornate detailing that defined early 20th-century Victorian-inspired design. Made of solid mahogany, it features a beautifully shaped top and a sculptural pedestal base with lyre-like curves, scrollwork, and turned center columns. The decorative circular medallions along the apron add an elegant touch while emphasizing its symmetric form. Its substantial presence and unique six-sided shape make it ideal as a parlor table, center table, or statement accent in any room. Presented in original vintage condition, it retains its authentic character and patina from the 1920s.
Fun Historical Fact: In Victorian America, the “center table” was the social hub of the parlor—where calling cards, photo albums, and tea service were set so guests naturally gathered around for conversation. During the 1920s revival boom, makers like Riner reinterpreted these 19th-century forms for modern homes, keeping the ceremonial center table alive even as living rooms replaced formal parlors.
