Description: This full-size American Victorian Revival bed by Sligh Furniture Company features richly figured burl walnut and an ornate traditional silhouette. The tall shaped headboard and coordinating footboard are accented by scrolling contours, carved decorative details, turned posts, and prominent finials. Dramatic burl walnut grain provides a distinctive decorative surface across the broad panels, complemented by carefully arranged wood grain and ornamental accents. Dating to the 1940's, the bed combines substantial construction with the elaborate detailing characteristic of Victorian Revival furnishings.
