Description: This pair of American Regency Revival armchairs, dating to the 1970's, combines rich leather upholstery with classically inspired wood detailing and a substantial, comfortable profile. Deep button-tufted backs and generously cushioned seats are framed by rolled arms, gracefully curved wood supports, and decorative brass nailhead trim. Fluted front legs and exposed wood framing add architectural definition while complementing the warm character of the leather. The generous proportions make these chairs equally suited to a library, office, living room, or sophisticated lounge setting. Presented in Original Vintage Condition, both chairs retain their naturally aged character and have been carefully inspected by our studio for stable joints, secure upholstery, supportive seating, and overall functionality.

Fun Historical Fact

Regency-inspired furniture draws from designs that became fashionable in Britain during the early 19th century, when classical influences played an important role in interiors. Later revival pieces adapted these historic ideas for changing tastes in residential and executive furnishings. By the 1970's, tufted leather seating had become especially popular for libraries, offices, and formal living spaces, where comfort and traditional character were equally valued. Brass nailhead trim and exposed finished wood remained enduring details that helped give upholstered seating a tailored, architectural appearance.
