Description: This set of three Queen Anne Revival armchairs, dating to the 1960s, combines graceful traditional forms with richly finished wood and warm leather upholstery. Each chair features a tall upholstered back, generously cushioned seat, sculptural open arms, and elegantly curved legs that create a refined, stately profile. Brass nailhead trim follows the upholstery edges and seat rails, adding decorative definition while complementing the warm tones of the leather and wood. The chairs retain their original vintage condition and character and have been carefully inspected by our studio for stability, construction, and overall functionality. Offered as a set of three or available individually, these armchairs provide substantial yet elegant seating well suited to a dining room, library, office, or sophisticated living interior.

Fun Historical Fact

Queen Anne furniture takes its name from the English monarch whose reign lasted from 1702 to 1714, although the style continued developing well beyond her reign. Its characteristic vocabulary included graceful curves, restrained ornamentation, cabriole legs, and an emphasis on elegant proportions rather than heavy carving. During the 20th century, American furniture makers repeatedly revisited these forms, adapting them for more contemporary interiors and upholstery techniques. By the 1960s, traditional revival furniture remained an important part of American interior design alongside the increasingly popular modernist styles of the period.
